Odd. Running on a Windows 11 24H2 build 26120.670, I tried 3 different ways.
- I simply clicked on the kobo-stuff-1.6.N-r18901.tar.xz file and then on the KoboStuff directory. Dragged and dropped KoboRoot.tgz to the desktop in a temp directory. This used Windows builtin archive tool.
- Opened kobo-stuff-1.6.N-r18901.tar.xz in 7-Zip, opened the KoboStuff directory and dragged the KoboRoot.tgz to the desktop.
- Opened kobo-stuff-1.6.N-r18901.tar.xz in 7-Zip and dragged the KoboStuff directory to the desktop. This gave me a KoboRoot.tgz file inside the directory on my desktop (I used the 2 directories to separate the 3 KoboRoot.tgz files).
- Checked the SHA-256 on all three KoboRoot.tgz files gave me the same result.
Code:
SHA256: 193C407E97ABA8ADD786842FF7755C530A575BDABF8F49B95C2662904605FC90
I dragged one of the KoboRoot.tgz files to my Libra Colour in the .kobo directory. When I safely ejected, the update process came up.
No need to use WSL or a Linux VM.
