No, scrcpy probably won't give me the insight I'm looking for.
My adbgrab.exe can do that too, but it's much slower because it doesn't use any other software on the Android.
My understanding of "BSR" (which could be totally wrong since there is so little info).
The Android puts out standard video (as for an LCD) over a DSI interface.
The custom Onyx chip (with the help of its own video buffers) turns that into Eink updates.
