True, and I have to say it's better than nothing to have the EU lead in these regards. Hopefully it'll be too costly to have two designs on the market and my Oasis will hang in there until then. It probably will, and that's what's so incredibly frustrating about these unrepairable devices with otherwise unusual longevity (will my Oasis ever really be obsolete for reading a book?).

For sure, and while I've heard the replacement parts are a bit costly and maybe the overall process could still be improved, it's such a major benefit. Sucks this kind of arm twisting for Amazon is what it takes.
