Customer support for something arriving late.
Me: My item is late, it was suppossed to arrive on the the 17th-20th, and today is the 21st.
CS: It can take 2-3 weeks for a custom order to arrive.
Me: It has been 20 days, and the status says "preparing for shipping", which it has said for 2 weeks.
CS: It should arrive shortly.
Me: Please cancel the order.
CS: Since it is a custom order, it cannot be cancelled. You will need to wait.
Me: That doesn't make sense. If it still hasn't shipped by June, August, Oct, Dec, I still have to wait?
I forgot CS's reply at this point.
Me: I need to talk to a supervisor
CS: One will contact you within 72 hours.
The item arrived 2 days later with no update to the website and a shipping notification email after I received the item. I never heard form the mythical "supervisor".
This was Dick's Sporting Goods. I had ordered a custom item before and didn't have any problems. Next time, I will just order directly from the manufacturer.
