Modifying which tabs to appear on main screen?

With sideload mode on or off, some tabs appear on or disappear from the main screen on the device (specifically, Home and Discover).

I want to know whether or not it is possible to modify the Kobo eReader.conf to hide the other tabs in the main menu, specifically Activity and My Notebooks.

For My Notebooks, I read that you can hide the menu by simply disabling stylus function on the device. The method is to add the following code to the config file Kobo eReader.conf:

Code:
[ApplicationPreferences]
StylusUsageDetected=false
But I am looking for another method since I do use the stylus for another functions with the device.

Is this possible? If there is no such switch in Kobo eReader.conf, is there another method?
