You know what ADB is, right?
The stock recovery has ADB, but it's also ro.adb.secure=1 so you can't connect.
My custom recovery has accessible, rooted ADB and the SELinux is permissive.
You can just use that ADB and admire a blank white screen.
My custom recovery also has "autoupdate".
This is a way to update your system software from a flash drive.
It uses the screen to display progress.
It uses a flash drive because sometimes there is not enough free space in the device to save a whole 1.5 GB update.
This also allows doing compatible but disallowed updates like downgrades or Chinese <-> English.
