On a brighter note, Vancouver has the "best quality of living among North American cities" and "ranked fourth in the world" according to a new survey.

Actually, we are down from 3rd place last year. We also have the infrastructure now to host large conventions, having to rely on tourism, trade and convention industries to give our economy a boost since the forestry and mining industries have taken a dive.
