...advertises a Clara battery for $19.60 plus $5 shipping (located in the U.S. with 5-7 day shipping), so about $25. It looks like it also comes with tools for opening the Clara. (I count vouch for the seller, I've never dealt with them.)

If you're basically only using the Clara once a day, I would consider keeping the Clara completely turned off when not in use. Also, I would disable the WiFi except when you need it (if you aren't already doing that). I think that's why the Sony batteries last so long, they automatically turn completely off after so many hours.

Good luck. Sorry your Clara is giving you trouble, but I've noticed that laptop batteries tend to die at about the 40% mark when they need to be replaced.
