On the other hand amazon charges our publishers up to 60% of the price of a pBook when it's sold on amazon. Why should our publishers take contracts with amazon in account if they are able to sell the (e)books with their own plattforms and networks? But you are right, we will see - hopefully soon.
Nevertheless the E-INK production capacity is very low compared to those of other display technologies. It's known that amazon could have sold more Kindle1 in the US if they had got more displays.
