Given that 192.168.1.1 is likely your router, I would suggest that the issue is there. Since your configuration shows that you are using external to your network DNS and it is working since your first post shows that your Kobo was able to resolve google.com to 142.250.179.174.

Probably the first thing you tried but have you restarted both the router and your Kobo?
