I use Twitter professionally. It is blocked at work, but I can read it from iTweet.net. I only follow people who are posting links to good articles, etc. It is a lot easier than trying to send emails to everyone every time you find something. I can read it on my phone, but prefer to read it at my computer.
I use Facebook personally, but don't spend much time there. I find it is mostly gossip, but sometimes I need something light. I usually read it on my phone at a long stop light, or while waiting around somewhere. I have actually found friends I haven't heard from in a long time (from high school and college). It's nice to finally be in touch with some of them.
