I will edit books I've bought, but only on very rare occasions when the book is not readable on my device. I've also had to edit a few back in the day that had font and/or font size (and in a couple of memorable occasions font color) locked by the publisher, but I haven't seen that in quite a few years.
Generally I read it as I get it--a book needs to be pretty egregiously bad before I can be bothered to "fix" it.
