Since multiple people have used the images without reporting your issue, I'm somewhat doubtful that it is the images. The only other person who reported a similar problem stated they were going to try cleaning the uSD card socket and never returned to say if this helped or not. Since your copy of the original card worked, I suspect that this is not your issue.

Did you try a manual factory reset on the copy of the original uSD card using a page turn button and the power button?
