I had a Kindle Gen 2 for about a decade, and while I could happily read on it, I always struggled with it. Couldn't sort my books the way I wanted them. Then Amazon brought in Sets/Collections to the Kindle, and half the books in the set were in the set, others weren't.
Sometimes I just don't "get" what everybody complains about.

If you could use the Kindle 2 for a decade and felt no need to upgrade, then you must be one of the most undemanding ereader users in existence.
I read happily on lowest-end basic Kindles for a few years too, but not for a decade. Then I moved on and grew fussier with every new ereader I used.
