Baffling that it wasn't always true.
Stupid using Kindle branding for non-reflowable / print replica / fixed layout, which are electronic documents, not real ebooks. Also stupid that such are not marked with a recommended minimum screen size and maybe resolution too. Such documents not only often can be even bought for eink, but can be bought if you use an app, but your screen may be too small.
Greed to leverage the Kindle brand. At least they stopped calling the Fire Tablet a Kindle Fire. But why reuse Fire branding for TVs and streaming sticks?
