iRex has really interesting hardware, but maybe spotty availability (in the U.S.) and firmware. Best read some of the Forums on the iRex eBook readers, for details. For most, an Amazon Kindle or Sony PRS505/700 would be the better/cheaper/safer choice. But it really depends on how you want to use it, and you have to realize, whatever you buy now, will be obsolete by 3Q or 1Q2010. Just like the early years in PCs, or Digital Cameras, or DVD Players, or ....
