In fantasy, I like it all, even the romantic ones. I also like swords & sorcery (and sometimes grimdark), but they don't have specific categories for those.

Mars: A Traveler's Guide, by Ruth Nestvold

Published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction in January 2008, and nominated for the Nebula Award in 2009. I read it and enjoyed it a few years ago. It's "FREE" until the 9th.
