Even more, it has an asterisk in the status line indicating it is a source install.

@toni-trus: you have some serious cleanup to do.
  • Uninstall all standard (non-portable) calibre installs, usually in "\Program Files\Calibre2", but wherever you put it.
  • Remove the calibre source code you have somewhere.
  • Remove the environment variable you set to point at calibre's source code.
  • Remove calibre2 from the PATH environment variable.
At this point you should be able to run whichever calibre portable version you wish.
