When I had a Clara HD, I found that Ultimate Manga Reader (UMR)* didn’t operate on it very well. It caused constant crashes. It even caused a db corruption on me, which is why I stopped using it.
However, could you clarify what you mean by “once closed”? Do you mean closing/quitting the UMR app? Because I’m afraid rebooting out of UMR and back into the Kobo software is as designed.
Nickelmenu is the best launcher. The problem is UMR. It isn’t optimized for Clara HDs.
If you have questions about UMR, I’d look for the thread dedicated to it. Search through there for your answers.
