I got fed up waiting and ordered a Libra 2 with lavender cover - exactly what I had two years ago and returned! I loved it, and it had very good black levels in dark mode at night. (Returned it due to feeling guilty). The Clara 2E and Scribe both have gray "black" levels, which was a little disappointing.
The only thing that could improve the Libra 2 for me would be moving the buttons a smidge closer to the screen. I don’t want a more powerful processor, as all I need it to do is store my books and turn pages. I figure if they add a more powerful processor, the battery life will be worse, and it is currently great.
Plus, the lavender cover is out of stock most places and has to be shipped from the UK.
So, no doubt there will be a new one announced imminently.
