Hmm. I've read on my Sage for two years almost every night; doesn't seem so useless to me. I usually charge it every few days, which is fine for me. I would even be fine with charging it every day. What I wouldn't be fine with is additional weight. Holding an ereader puts the heaviest load on my hands and wrists, which are naturally small and slim, and no amount of exercise will make them larger, so I absolutely don't want a heavier device. I guess people with naturally large hands and thick wrists wouldn't understand, just as tall persons don't really get the problems of short persons and vice versa.
