You can only read Kindle Unlimited on Kindle, or authors don't get paid.
The Kobo Plus is also a commercial subscription lending library, so you can only read on a Kobo.
Only deDRM (optionally convert) ebooks you actually buy. Amazon web page tells me I own those. Similarly I own any other ebooks I buy, in the same sense as the content of a CD, but as there is no physical item the only way I can loan a bought ebook is to loan the entire ereader, but I never do.
