No more updates for me?

Hi there, I just noticed that I cannot update Calibre anymore.

I have a 2017 MacBook Air with the latest software update: Monterey 12.7.2, but my operating system won't receive any further updates.

So, I have a couple of straightforward questions:

1. Does this mean that I am stuck with an older version of Calibre until I purchase a newer laptop?
2. Not being able to update Calibre represents a security risk?

Thank you.
