Most cases are constructed in exactly the same way - some sort of cardboard flap usually covered by plastic, a hard plastic rear shell, and some kind of flexible spine.

In my case the spine always falls to bits after enough time. The edge of the flap also tends to peel away/get damaged over time.

Is any case manufacturer really doing anything different?
