ha ! excellent letter krisk. can i call you the next time i have to write to an idiotic bureaucracy ? i recently had to send in a photocopy of my latest electricity bill to prove that i had not, in fact, moved, because some unnamed administrator had sent me a letter which the post office had failed to deliver (ok. my street is only 3 buildings long. maybe it's a new postman and he hasn't hasn't heard of it. but i have been living at the same address for 10 years. you'd think they'd have figured it out by now.
), and from that bit of information had deduced that i had moved / died / been sucked into an alternate dimension. therefore my whole file was in statis, although i have
not, in fact, moved, and therefore
nothing has actually changed. i don't see why they couldn't just take my word for that over the telephone, for god's sake. that seems like an excess of zeal to me. oh, and by the way, i only found out about this by accident when i was checking my account online and saw the worrying message. they didn't actually try to email me (they have my email) or call me (they have my phone number).
