This reminds me of an incident with a cockroach I and my sister had once, long ago in our youth. We still lived with our parents then. Well, there was a cockroach strolling around in the kitchen and we killed it by spraying it with insecticide. But now there was an even bigger problem - the dead cockroach lying in the middle of the kitchen floor. Neither of us had enough courage to pick the corpse up and throw it in the trash. So we escaped from the kitchen and waited until Mom came home to do it for us.
We were not little kids - I was in my teens and my sister a bit over twenty. What awful wimps we were.
