It absolutely covers the entire page of the PRS-505 with no problem at all with an extremely even illumination and rather than some poorly designed book light - this one is built like a tank but is so flexible that it's remarkable. It's so well designed that for the price - 15 dollars canadian - I'm getting another one for a "hot spare" in the event that I misplace or break my original. I can't recommend this book light enough. I've purchased about 10 other types of book lights prior to this one and most, as you've said, are so poorly designed as to be almost useless; the Mighty Bright Travel Flex is not.

Well worth the small investment. The unit is available in Canada at Coles and Chapters if you wish to purchase locally rather than using the internet.
