Please help!
Calibre worked great until my internet service was updated with AT&T fiber (this included a new modem...BGW320-505).
Now, when I click the Calibre icon, it gives the initial "starting up please wait", but then nothing. The icon shows in the bottom taskbar. Hovering will show a small preview window attached to the icon with either a black or white background (with nothing else in it).
The first time this happened I got 2 error messages:
0050] A socket operation encountered a dead network
calibre, version 7.2.0
ERROR: Problem starting the wireless device: The wireless device driver had problems starting. It said "creation of listen socket failed"
I tried to access my content server with port 8080 and that works fine from my main computer. So I can access my library and add new content that way, but I cannot access my library through my reader.
I think that the issue is the port was changed since the ATT upgrade/modem. I don't know why calibre will not open at all though. Because Calibre isn't opening, I am not able to change the port settings.
I have scoured through this forum and others looking for a solution and I'm at a loss.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled. I have tried safe mode. I have deleted certain files and restarted repeatedly. At this point, I feel my actions are edging on insanity.
I am posting my debug log below:
