I have never had battery drain problems with my Sage. Maybe it needs charging a bit more often than my Aura One, but I've not exactly been keeping logs on the subject. It's really not been a problem.
"good few hours without problems"? Absolutely. I have the frontlight on at 10% and wifi is disabled except when downloading new books.
