It works. Just specify a font name, eg ./rxvt -fn Courier

the ipkg is more easily installed with -o and -force-depends. The former lets you to specify a installation directory in the external card.

The terminal is mostly unuseful, of course, because it needs keyboard. So the trick to see it is to go to the wizard network, enable the keyboard, and then from the sshd entry lauch the application. Switching the keyboard modes you get full screen updates, so you can see the terminal. Hopefully in the future it would be recompiled to a) call liberipc to enable the keyboard and b) call liberdm to enable the smooth display update.
