1. Nope, as it disables passwordless logins, making it require a sane authentication method (i.e., key pair).
2. Nope. (But on a mildly related tangent, booting a kindle while plugged in has always and still does lead to funky stuff).
3. Setup key pair auth before you tweak any USBNet settings.
