Yesterday I realized that I've almost finished my current cross stitch project, just over 300 cross stitches to go (one session) and then one or two sessions of back stitching (line work).
So today I'm preparing my next project. It's a kit of a puffin. I'm now using fabric glue on the edges of the fabric to keep it from fraying. Then I have to make labels for the floss to put on my floss drops and finally I have to grid my fabric. First measuring out 10 by 10 squares with a fabric marker and then sew in the grid with red fishing line.
Normally I would have done the preparations once I've finished my current project, but I'm getting my Covid booster on Monday and I'll be feeling crappy for a couple of days and will not be in the mood to do all of that. This way I can keep on stitching when I finish my current project in a couple of days.
