The reason why you can’t see language menu anymore is probably because JB is installed, but now you need to install both hotfixes.
If this doesn’t work neither via mrpi and Update Your Kindle, then you need to start over.
1) Factory reset
2) Install the JB-aupported FW again. You need something less than or equal to 5.16.1.1. You can start from 5.15.1.
3) Try this: when you need to copy files the second time (after Resell), copy all files except .demo . This way you won’t get stuck in demo again.
