I'm not too worried about the "security" aspect, since it's all local and firewalled, but it's stopping me getting at Calibre content from my Kobo. (Yes, I can use a USB cable, but that's more fuss.)

That's the id for an add-on "Canvas Fingerprint Defender". I'd try disabling it and see if that works
