Would it be possible to run these hotfixes using ;log mrpi in the search bar? In this case, should I put the hotfixes in the Kindle's mrpackages folder?

I'm answering myself, hoping that it will also be useful to someone else: I installed Marek's hotfix with mrpi and now Koreader works again!
Should I also install the NiLuJe hotfix with mrpi or should I be satisfied with the current state?
Currently my only problem is that the Update your Kindle option remains grayed out and not clickable. I installed renameotabin by pressing Restore in the hope that the Updates would be restored, but unfortunately it didn't help.
