I remember when I had an acute case of ringworm in 2013, which I got from a newly arrived cat in the shelter I volunteered in. I was covered with itching splotches basically from head to toe (very unusual, as ringworm typically gives you only a couple of those splotches). The earliest appointment to a dermatologist was in 2 months. Of course I got rid of the ringworm long before that time, by using an over-the-counter antifungal cream, so I canceled the appointment.
