Now to my problem. Like I said I succeeded in applying the jailbreak a few days ago, but I managed to mess it up. When I first did the jailbreak I was on 5.15.1.1. I used RenameOTAbin to disable updates and logging. Eventually I wanted to get some e-books that I had on my Amazon account, and so I had to register my Kindle. I did that and then de-registered afterwards, since the ads came back and I believed that by de-registering I would be able to get rid of them again. This broke KUAL, it disappeared for my library. To get things back in order I believed that I needed to reapply the jailbreak, so I tried to do that.
Now things become a little fuzzy, I don't really remember the order in which things happened. I remember that I saw the "Jailbreak" message on a restart and that I tried using ;log at some point, and I got the message in the top left corner. I tried to apply the jailbreak again, but could not get it to work, I believe the issue was that the "pseudot" was not shown in the language select menu. I ended up trying again a few times, after which I decided to update to 5.16.2.1.1 since I remembered that in the instruction it said it works best on this version. I still could not get it to work. At some point I got stuck in a Chinese demo and had to use "DO_FACTORY_RESTORE" to get back to a normal English version. Somewhere along the way ;log no longer gave me the message, but instead it brings up a page with some greyed out options. At some point I also tried to install the language hotfix, but it said it failed and the kindle restarted.
The state in which I am now is as follows. I am on 5.16.2.1.1, and it seems the Kindle works just fine. I can go through the jailbreak process, but it does not work. Most of the time, I don't get the "pseudot" option in the language menu. When I do get it, and I select Chinese, my kindle restarts without log messages.
I tried using the one-click method as well. After transferring the files and restarting, I go to the store and click yes, but I get no Jailbreak button.
My question is. Can I somehow get the jailbreak back? I liked it very much.
Thanks!

you mention you have already been jailbroken before, which makes me think that you are not exactly in a "clean state", have you tried to just install the hotfix?
