Quick update on renameOTAbin:
1) I have been using my JB’ed Kindle Scribe on Wi-Fi non-stop since December 3.
2) In the very beginning, I enabled renameOTAbin, disabled Amazon logging, and also enabled “Prevent OTA” in KUAL - Helper.
3) No sporadic firmware downloads or updates whatsoever.
I am using it on Wi-Fi nonstop because I enjoy SSH over Wi-Fi, so the USB-C port’s longevity is improved because I only use it for charging (I presume once a month, looking at current low drain).
