Considering how much easier the calibre trash makes restoring a book that has been accidentally deleted, I would much prefer to keep the calibre trash enabled by default.

It might be a trifle counter-intuitive to have the Restore recently deleted under the Remove books menu entry but not all that hard to live with and easy enough to remember.

Admittedly, my calibre library lives on a 2TB NVMe SSD so I don't need to worry about emptying the trash multiple times per day to avoid running out of disk space.
