I once contemplated this--as a
concept, not something for myself, let's be serious--but the
reality is the drive for reproduction is sorta what keeps the entire race moving forward.
Is it, sadly, the "why" of
"why am I here?" People don't want to think that of course.
That is nearly an existential crisis on the hoof.
They want to think that they
matter, that they will contribute great poetry to the world or some silliness like that, but really...we're no different than the rest of the animals...our "purpose" is to procreate and die.
