I agree with you as far as bad timing for Christmas, though technically, it’s still before Christmas, but he was inquiring about the timing of previous windows from leak to announcement IIRC.
In a curious coincidence, Nate wondered aloud in August if a new Kobo ereader would be released this Fall. In October, two months later, there was a leak. And now we’re in December. IF it follows the Clara 2E pattern, this is the month for an announcement. But honestly, it’s all just speculation, and my tongue is firmly planted in my cheek. The most informed opinion for an estimated announcement is “soon”.
