Re: Libby. You can log into Overdrive using your library card on your Kobo ereader if your library supports Overdrive. Then you have the option of borrowing most ebooks present in your local library catalog while you browse the Kobo store on your Kobo ereader. However, it truly is easier to do that from the Overdrive website or Libby app linked to the same library card. I’m simplifying things here, but whatever book you borrow from Overdrive on the web or Libby from your mobile device will sync to your Kobo ereader if Kobo has a matching ISBN for it in their catalog.
Sometimes you will bump into books that are Kindle only or have a different ISBN than the one you borrowed from Libby. It’s infrequent, but it does happen. I borrowed a slew of manga of one series the other day, and all but the most current volume synced to my Kobo Elipsa. It’s nonsensical and frustrating, but you can just send the ebook over to a Kindle app and read it there, if you have it installed. You can also read such books with your Libby app. But, I must emphasize that it’s infrequent. I bump into it maybe once a year, and I borrow a lot of ebooks for my Kobos through Libby.
