I was able to get out of Chinese language mode ONLY ONE WAY.
I believe i made an initial error and transferred the whole languagebreak folder, not just the files.
If you did that too, this is the fix. If you didn't do that, don't try this pls, ask someone who knows and can verify what you should do.
If you've tried everything in this thread and you still couldn't get out of Chinese Language mode.
1) after you fully reboot back into demo mode, Use ;uzb transfer over only the language(en-US)file.bin of your choosing.
2) Unmount kindle
3) enter ;dsts and look below, select the phone/tablet icon, click the ... and select Update Kindle. (更新)
4)This will restart your kindle and then select English or whichever language you prefer
5) restart the whole jailbreaking process and make sure to only copy over the files from the LanguageBreak folder directly to the root of the kindle. Do not copy the folder or anything else, just the files in the languagebreak folder.
I was able to jailbreak the device and see the custom msg on the screen, upon reboot.
Where it went wrong
I believe i copied over the entire folder(languagebreak) over to the kindle the first time(should be files only on root dir, not the folder). I should have slept more last night, i think the lack of sleep got the best of me and i wasn't focused. at least i figured out how to start over.
I didn't realize i'd be learning some Chinese today(because of my mistake), but it was fun.
Thank you for the jailbreak, this is amazing. I will install mrpi next.
