I am surprised he lasted this long, trying to keep it working when every Tom & Harry think their (poorly tested) version is best. Just look at the issues with QT. Why so many changes that are not backwards compatible?
I understand the various branches of Linux. And it is not my intention that they choose my Linux distribution.
But Kovid assumes that it is established that calibre is developed for a Linux based on Debian,Ubuntu or Arch.
I use Linux (I'm not going to say which one, I don't have problems with Calibre)
If we analyze there are also some problems in both MacOS and Windows.
And I must be grateful that a solution to problems is always found.
