Hopefully everything will work out. The biggest concern I would have with an iLiad from Ebay is that the screen is not broken. If that were the case though, it would be very obvious. There would be all sorts of weird lines running through it, and making it nearly impossible to read. Since you mentioned that the screen has data on it, but didn't say anything about it looking funny, I assume it's alright.
