Jon, read the post. It's an Apple Mac (maybe Intel) and the newer MacOS is optimised for Apple's own ARM and comes with "issues". Running Calibre 6.29 might be better than upgrading MacOS for some people.

What applies to Windows versions is irrelevant to Mac OS versions. Also really only 32 bit Win10 is a Win10 issue (yes it existed, I had it here!). Any 64 bit Windows 10 should be fixable for Calibre 7 without "upgrade" to Windows 11 (which might cause issues or not work, which may be why Win11 uptake is low compared to what Win10 was).

Disclaimer, the last MacOS I used much was 9!
