Probably technically correct. And if Amazon did this, then haertig - or anyone else - would not be able to see what specific books haertig borrowed (this is the privacy part). The borrowed/deleted books would not magically reappear years later - attributed to haertig - in some new feature called "Your Books".
Which is the point.
