Since upgrade to Ubuntu 23.10 ebook-viewer crashes with segfault

It does not even open. Version is 6.24 which comes with Ubuntu. Bit same result with 6.29.
System is Xubuntu 23.10 with Nvidia driver 470.

There seems to be something broken on my system, because Sigil is also not starting with a similar error. Any idea?
