I've a "jail broken" DXG and can only set the date by connecting to 3G. Can take up to a day.
I couldn't get USB networking working, but sleep screen based on cover works.

Both 3G and 2G still work here, but often the DXG uses EDGE (2G). There is no WiFi on the DXG. Do you have a local 2G or 3G service?

I think the worst ereader I ever bought. The KK3 is far far better. The DXG was a missed opportunity that they only updated the screen (from DX) and not RAM etc, like a KK3, which can do AZW3 and embedded fonts. Bought for PDFs and far too slow and low resolution for them.
