So throwing baby out with the bathwater ..... in desperation, ordered a new charging/data sync cable from Amazon. Delivered about an hour ago and I now have a plethora of new books loaded to my Kobo Libra 2.

The good news is that I managed to ressurect 2 of my old Sony Readers with new batteries (thank you You Tube), so now I have back-up.
Glad you got your Libra 2 working. I suggest you order some more of the same USB-C cable just to have spares.

Other then the cable that came with my Libra 2, I have some Anker USB-C to USB-C and some Anker USB-C to USB-A cables. They work very well. And they have a really nice small velcro strap so I can fold them up.
